Materials needed:
- wooden base for panels measuring 60x60 cm;
- Acrylic paint red and white;
- vinyl stickers (in the form of the Latin letters);
- wine stopper (the more the better);
- brush;
- Art palette;
- sponge or sponge to paint;
- acrylic paint for the background (color of your choice);
- glue gun;
- line.
Divide wine corks into several equal parts. Gridlock in every part determines the number of shades of paint, which you'll use for decorating. Keep in mind that in order to achieve a beautiful effect of the gradient, we need at least 6 shades of paint.
With a brush, artistic palette, red and white colors make the necessary 6 shades. Start with the darkest and the lightest finish - so convenient.
With sponge or sponge (you can take an ordinary sponge to wash dishes), apply the prepared paint on top of the wine corks (as shown in the figure). Put dyed cork aside, let the paint dry well.
Prepare a wooden board-panels. If it is not new - oshkurte its surface with fine sandpaper and cover with a matte acrylic varnish to improve its appearance. When acrylic paint is completely dry, you can proceed to the next step.
* If you notice that the background color and the natural color of the wood does not look together (fading / ugly combination of colors, etc.), try to paint a second contrasting color, or more pronounced (with the effect of "metallic", for example).
Place the vinyl stickers, letters to permanently dry-board panels. Let this be the phrase "Forever is Today", but you can use any phrase, date or name. To stickers were placed on the board smoothly and accurately, use a ruler.
Apply to the entire surface of the wooden board backing paint, including vinyl and stickers letters.
Once the background paint is completely dry, gently peel off the vinyl stickers on the wooden board. Try to work carefully, do not rush.
Of heavy paper or cardboard cut out the heart of the required size. Try to place it on the prepared wine corks, they should cover the entire surface. If congestion is not enough, the size of the paper heart must be reduced. Attach to the heart of a wooden board and trace the outlines with a pencil. If necessary, correct the line.
Use the glue gun to glue start wine corks to the board, trying to create a gradient effect (we have arranged the tone from the bottom up, from dark to light).
* Pre-check the strength of the adhesive: it will keep the cork on a given surface, leaves no traces of yellow if it does not flow there, etc.
After drying glue our panels ready. Now they can decorate a blank wall, put on the shelf or on the floor near the wall.
