 Swedish massage is a set of techniques taken from different techniques (Greek, Chinese, Arabic and Russian). Technique is relatively young - appeared in the 19th century, it quickly gained popularity among the followers of therapeutic techniques.  
 Initially, the Swedish massage technique allows to affect the joints, restoring their flexibility and mobility, causing the outflow of fluid and lymph. Subsequently, it became increasingly used to stretch muscle tissue, study and relaxation deep layers of nerve endings. Swedish massage is performed slowly and thus has a psychotherapeutic effect. Now this area is considered the main technique of Swedish massage, and it is often used for the treatment of neuroses and other disorders.

Specialist during a session operates on the basis of signals received from the patient - sighs, muscle tension and movement of limbs "talk" about what feelings he experiences, and indicate possible areas of study. The patient is stripped and covered with a sheet, oiled body, the room quiet and warm.

The technique involves stroking, rubbing, patting and pressing - movements are performed in a specific sequence, which helps heat the tissue first, and then work them out thoroughly and carefully. Initially going massaging the back, then processed neck, arms, legs, head, face. The essence of the study - go the way of the movement of venous blood from the tips of the limbs to large parts.

Particular attention is paid to the massage joints - the pressure increases, alternating with strokes that allows you to split clusters of particles of fluid and move them on to the lymph nodes. To work through joint takes more than half the time of the session. Muscles are processed in a more gentle pace - mostly opposite stroking both hands. Limbs knead hands, trying not to stop contact with the body of the patient. Sometimes relaxing effect is so great that the patient falls asleep.

Swedish massage should not be used more than twice a week - its specificity study of the therapeutic effect of the joints and allow to carry this type of treatment to recovery procedures. The state of health of the patient improves after the first session, and for a full recovery after an injury or get rid of chronic stress is necessary to pass a course prescribed by a doctor (usually 5, 7 or 10 treatments).
