Lee Alexander McQueen, the youngest of six children in the family of the taxi driver and a teacher, was born in 1969 in London. At age 16, dropped out of school, he got a job as a tailor in a luxury London studio, among whose clients were Prince Charles and Mikhail Gorbachev. After receiving the necessary skills, McQueen got a job as assistant to the Japanese designer Cauchy Tatsuno and Romeo Gigli Italian couturier. Taking the best of fashion traditions of the East and the West, he developed his creative principle: creativity in an elegant form.
In 25 years, his talent appreciated editor Vogue and Tatler Isabella Blow, gave him a pass to the world of high fashion. In 1994, Alexander McQueen was named the youngest original talent for their rowdy collection, to shock the audience, in which you could see patterns in blood-soaked bandages or dresses, pasted dead locusts.
