Image of the head: from democracy to dictatorship
A good leader has to take care about the impression he makes on his subordinates, customers and business partners, as perceived by other people. The fact that this image often brings people success or failure. From him sometimes depends on the effectiveness of employees.
Building relationships with employees, managers, unfortunately, often choose one of two options for losing image - "weak chief" who all pushed around, and "dictator", to stop any initiative on the part of subordinates and treats each of them as a mere cog in the machine. Ideally, the wise leader should be able to find a middle ground and create the image of an experienced, fair, intelligent chief, who knows his job very well. However, in practice this can be difficult to achieve.

It is important to understand that the image is formed through the influence of a huge number of details, including the manner of speech, sound, voice, clothing, subtleties of behavior, gestures, facial expressions and so on. For example, if a woman leader will dress sloppy, talk to the staff in a low, uncertain voice afford "closed posture" shrink or, conversely, too fast, and even fussy gesture, employees can develop a negative opinion about it. This boss will be perceived as infirm, too gentle man, whose orders can be done somehow, or even not perform at all. There are also opposite situation: too strict and inelegant dressed woman with sharp gestures and shrill loud voice may well be taken as a tyrant.

Ideally, the head should give the impression of a man who skillfully manages the team knows how to give orders and to pursue them, but at the same time ready to listen to each employee and to a fair decision in any situation. This image can be created and maintained through the irreproachable from the point of view of business style appearance, calm, confident and clear speech, open postures, stingy, but elaborate gestures. It is this image is suitable leader who is willing to stick to the golden mean between democracy and dictatorship. Image of the head in this case may be an additional motivation for the employee, and even when the boss stops to strictly control the activities of their subordinates, they will voluntarily make an effort not to let it.
